About this house
Between forest and grassy hills in the Mulbjerge conservation area, the cottage is hidden away. The private road leads up through the landscape, through the hills and up to the house, which has the best views of nature. The small cottage is decorated in the finest way with flea market finds, so the right 60s atmosphere hits you when you step inside the door. The house was originally built in 1955, but was carefully renovated in 2021. The beautiful new kitchen is inspired by Karen Blixen's childhood home, Rungstedlund. The kitchen is brand new and has everything you need to make a great meal. In the cottage, there's room for two people or a small family. There are two lovely bedrooms with a three-quarter bed in one and two single beds in the other. The cozy armchairs in the living room invite good conversations in front of the wood-burning stove, and at the dining table you can get creative or play games with the whole family. The many windows draw nature all the way inside the cottage and from here you can view the extensive animal and bird life outside. Even the farm's livestock: sheep, lambs and horses come close to the property. From the cottage you can walk along paths, through woods and pastures down to Dokkedal bathing pier. Here you'll find a small museum that tells the story of the old fishing community. The cottage has its own beach, but it's not as good as the one at the bathing pier. When you walk by the water you may be lucky enough to see a paraglider or find amber at the water's edge.
